Fraxel® Dual 1550/1927 laser treatment targets aging and sun-damaged skin with microscopic laser columns that penetrate deep into your skin to enhance your body’s remodeling of collagen. And since the laser treats only a fraction of tissue at a time, it leaves the surrounding tissue intact, which promotes very rapid healing. Fraxel® Dual treatment resurfaces your skin by stimulating the growth of new, healthy skin cells from the inside out.

There is no required prep; however we do recommend avoiding retinoid products the week prior. It is also necessary to avoid sun exposure prior, which includes spray tans.

Most patients describe an increased sensation of heat during the treatment. To minimize discomfort, topical anesthesia is applied before the procedure and cold air is used on the treatment area during the procedure. After the treatment, most patients feel like they have a sunburn. Some patients choose to add on Nitrous Oxide which can provide additional comfort during the procedure.

Expected downtime includes several (3-7) days of redness, swelling, dryness, irritation, and peeling. The skin typically looks darker and can have a sandpaper texture. Mild discomfort can be expected in the several hours following the laser treatment.

We will apply a cooling biocellulose mask directly after treatment to help calm the initial inflammation. We recommend letting the heat escape the skin for the next few hours without applying any topical products. There is a bundle of aftercare products that we recommend to use in the first week for optimal moisture and healing. Aquaphor can also safely be applied.

Full Face treatments are priced at $799. We do also offer a “baby fraxel” treatment for a reduced price for patients that want a lighter treatment.
