  • The rejuvenation 2.0 IPL treatment is safe for light to medium skin types. Because it is attracted to pigmentation it is not a safe choice for darker skin tones as it can cause burning and pigment issues.

  • No, there is no prep required for this treatment. We do recommend avoiding retinoid products for the week prior and also avoiding sun exposure, including spray tans.

  • Treatment plans vary. Best results are seen with a series of treatments spaced 1 month apart. Typically 3-5 treatments are recommended to reverse damage; however single treatments are still effective for patients with less concerns.

  • There is typically little downtime with this treatment as we often refer to it as a “lunchtime laser”. It is common to look and feel mildly sunburned and to have some mild puffiness. Makeup can be applied directly after to help cover any redness. Dark spots may temporarily get darker or slough off during the healing process, and larger blood vessels may turn purple or bruise.
